Quitting Corporate

While Anna admits to being really “programmed” throughout her young years to do the traditional path and study really hard, get good grades, go to the best schools and then climb the corporate ladder - it all fell short.

“I was working for a big fortune 500 CPG firm, I sat back and I said, ‘Oh, my goodness, this is what I've been working for my whole life’.” anna explains.

Breaking away from the stability of corporate, she actually ended up starting her entrepreneurial career in network marketing. With no prior knowledge of the industry, she was lucky enough to have a mentor to help her to grow a business of her own. “I could create whatever it is that I wanted to create. And so that, for me, opened up my mind to this world of possibilities, and really allowed me to think of myself as the driver and as the creator of my life, because now I had a vehicle, I had a mentor, I had a product. I had a system that I could run with and create based on what I wanted to create.”

Shifting From Service-Based To Products-Based Businesses

Anna is all about multiple streams of revenue within one's business. She lists key questions to ask yourself and reflect on prior to jumping into launching a product:

Where am I manufacturing this product?

  • Is this product something that my clients or my customers are asking for?
  • Who's going to be taking care of the packaging, the shipping & the inventory?
  • Is it truly a business that generates revenue, and is there a profit for me at the end?

Still Need Help? Get A Mentor.

Anna sees mentors as a “fast track hack”, and she’s always had at least one!

For those who can’t get a 1:1 mentor, Anna suggests reaching out to find a group coaching program, being part of a mastermind group, or something that can help you fasttrack your personal development - even if it’s just a great book!

As for finding the right fit, number one, look at where you want to go - consider your big audacious goals. Get clear on the vision you are working towards, and find someone who's already there who can fast-track your success. And then number two is following your intuition.

“There's a million coaches and mentors out there. So just find your tribe, find your community. And don't be scared to invest!”
