The Power of Change, The Power of Intuitive Intelligence - How this Practitioner is Working on Client Success in under 21 days!

What modalities do you deal with in your practice?

And why did you choose the coaching path that you did?

This week on Making it Real, we’re chatting with Marquetta Spant, founder of P21 Mind-Body Wellness Coaching and an expert/ certified in so many different modalities, such as Hypnotherapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), and EVOX 5.0.

Marquetta has a unique program called P21 that stands for the power of 21 which is centered around the concept that it takes 21 days to make or break a habit. Marquetta brings this idea that habit-forming takes time and that you need to get a full and complete health picture about your client in order to use that bio-data in order to create sustainable changes.

We’re excited to share with you a little bit about Marquetta’s own health journey and how she uses her unique formulas with her clients for long-term success.

21 Days to Change, The Power of 21 AKA P21

Many of us get into this industry because of our own personal health issues, just as Marquetta did. Her journey helped her realize that there can be a lot of changes within 21 days, so the concept of the Power of 21, AKA P21, was a natural progression into the next step of her business.

The start of a wellness transformation

My health went from slowly deteriorating to spiraling out of control. I went from doctor to doctor and no one could tell me what was really going on until one day I collapsed in the shower and had to be admitted into the hospital. I was then diagnosed with an overactive thyroid.

— Marquetta

After hospitalization, and radioactive iodine treatment leading to self-isolation and her own health issues getting worse, Marquetta felt so disconnected from herself that she made the commitment to start her own research and be her own self-advocate!

Through studying bioenergetics, nutrition and basic healing methods, she was able to take back control of her health, all within 21 days!

“I realized in this moment when I was going through that health crisis, if somebody were to ask me, what’s going on in your life? Are you under a lot of stress? Because through basic education, and changing my diet, that was key! No one was asking those key questions.”

The goal: to be a voice for other women

Marquette’s inspiring story gives us a glimpse into how basic education around diagnosis and nutrition can take us from a place where we feel unsure about medical practices into a place of health, healing and happiness and it’s Marquette’s goal to educate and inspire those changes in other women so no one has to go through what she went through.

Your body is constantly sending you signals, it’s important to stop and recognize that by understanding those signals, using intuition, and gaining clarity on what health means for you, we can then learn how to self-advocate and take back control of our lives.

Doing it For Your Clients vs. Allowing Your Clients to Listen to Their Intuitive Intelligence

What would you say to other practitioners between holding clients’ hands and allowing clients to listen to their intuitive intelligence?

Marquetta likes to think of her clients like the journey of the butterfly. The four butterfly wings represent a different component of life:

  1. Diet & Lifestyle
  2. Mindset - how are you feeling about yourself
  3. Relationships - how is your relationship with yourself and your children, spouse etc.
  4. Environment - are you getting exposed to sunlight? What is your circadian rhythm like?

Now you can transform a life by addressing each pillar! It doesn’t happen overnight, but with clarity and intuition, these small changes in each pillar can transform a life.

Levelling up your practice with other tools such as bio-communication and Meal Garden

Marquetta also discusses how she yields even a greater result with her clients by incorporating other tools into her practice, what she calls her “quantum tools” such as biocommunication and biofeedback tools as well as Meal Garden.

What brought you to look for a tool to help support clients with their eating?

I realized that with bio-individuality that no two people are the same and what works for me may not work for you and so especially using the biofeedback, that it will produce certain food suggestions based on your biological adherence. Meal Garden has been excellent in allowing the clients to go in, play around and see what food suggestions there are, go in, customize and select certain foods they like so we can work together.

— Marquetta

Meal Garden allows you to customize a meal plan, in the software, 1:1 with your clients. If your client has a sensitivity or an allergy, or maybe has many intolerances, it makes it really hard for both the practitioner and client to create and receive that food information. Marquetta uses Meal Garden to accomplish some important things that help with client success:

  1. Review sensitivities and show clients what recipes are accessible so they can plan together
  2. Sit down with food items on a report to customize meal plans
  3. Use the advanced search function for finding content that is void of certain ingredients

KEY TAKEAWAYS:

There are plenty of ways that you can build your personal coaching or nutrition business and food is definitely a driving force behind all of our client’s lives. When it comes to client success and no matter what your practice is, Meal Garden can fit into that success path. Client success also can come from:

  1. Advocating for your client’s health, especially when something doesn’t feel right
  2. Looking at all different areas of their life, including mental, emotional and physical
  3. Listening to your thoughts and emotions and not letting them control your health and wellness
  4. And build a practice that makes sense for you!

What do you think? Have you had success around creating habit changes and using unique modalities, such as biofeedback tools? We would love to hear what you use.
