My name is Amanda and I am a Mom on a mission. I'm always on the hunt for new opportunities, including new recipes to try, new products to test out and new parenting techniques to put into place.
This is why I started my blog, Multi-Testing Mommy, so that I had a place to record my journey of finding new things and sharing them with other Canadian Moms to help make their lives easier.
I have an 8 year old son and an 11 year old daughter and between them, myself and my hubby, we have quite a range of particular tastes and sensory issues in our household. Because of this, I'm always trying out new recipes and ideas in order to provide a variety of food and healthier options when I can.
My true passion in the kitchen is baking, I absolutely love to make homemade muffins, breads and treats. Ok, ok, you found me out, I also love to eat baked goods!
I am learning to cook a larger variety of foods that my entire family will enjoy, but this has definitely become a life-long adventure. My husband is the best chef in our home. He learned many tricks from his Italian father, but he also has incredible instincts when it comes to food combinations and recipe creations.
I can appreciate the challenge that parents face day to day with regards to providing their children with filling, healthy breakfasts, "good" school lunches and snacks and a variety of homemade dinners each week. My goal is to continue testing and creating recipes for my family and sharing the successes (and some of the failures too, because I like to keep it real) with all of you. My hope is that you will feel inspired to provide your families with home cooked, healthier meals, when possible. And even when it isn't possible, there are meals that you can make ahead and freeze for those rush days.
If you have run out of freezer options, another fantastic way to prepare a home-cooked meal on a busy day is to use your crockpot. All it takes is some planning ahead to ensure you have all of the ingredients ahead of time and you will have a delicious meal on the table at night.
