Who will love this conversation?

If you’re a Health Practitioner or Wellness Entrepreneur, Kiki’s conversation with Mandy’s will resonate with you.

Like many of us, Mandy spent the first decade of her life working on the business's clinical side, building experience in both the hospital and health department settings.

What did she love about it?

One of the things I loved most was speaking with patients and learning about their lives.  It helped me to realize that everyone is a little different and that building those relationships made it easier to help them on their path to a better future.

As the headline suggests, as much as Mandy liked her job and enjoyed the opportunity to learn about the physical and mental aspects of healthy living, her true calling was in private practice.

It might have to do with the fact that her Mom was a Naturopathic Dr and Herbalist.  The support she got from her husband helped as well.

Mandy’s desire to meet clients where they are at and be constantly challenged to learn and grow were the drivers that motivated her a year and a half ago to start her practice.

And, she’s never looked back.

Within six (6) months, she had a steady stream of clients and found great success in assisting clients (or patients as she fondly refers to them) in identifying the Root Causes of their maladies.

I’m interested in Root Cause Solutions: hormone imbalances, gut healing, inflammation, food sensitivities, vitamin and mineral deficiencies. All these things are very different but can all be traced back to nutrition; that’s what makes it so personal.

According to Mandy, every person has a story to tell and each patient provides a different challenge.

How Mandy defines her ideal client

Opposed to virtually every business coach's advice, Mandy has a loose definition of her ideal client.

Since Mandy enjoys the challenge of diagnosing Root Cause issues, her ideal client generally originates as a reference from a Functional Doctor.

These clients tend to have done some foundational work, focusing my efforts on coaching vs. convincing.

From there, Mandy engages her listening and relationship skills to understand each of her client’s unique stories and experiences.

Then, she sets to work building plans and programs that make it easy for clients to realize food can be satisfying, delicious, and healthy.

Most people believe healthy food is boring.

How Mandy incorporates Meal Garden into her practice

Mandy uses the Meal Garden recipes to illustrate to her clients how simple it is to make things healthier.  For instance, she can show a client in real-time how to take a pasta meal and transform it into something healthy.

Or how to eliminate foods or swap ingredients in favorite meals without sacrificing taste.
